Installing using Smart

1. On SUSE 10.1 install smart (and smart-gui if you plan to use the graphical interface) from Pascal's repository.
2. Add the usr-local-bin channel by executing:
   smart channel --add http://usr-local-bin.org/rpms/usr-local-bin-yast2-smart.channel.txt
3. Add the gnome channel by executing:
   smart channel --add http://usr-local-bin.org/rpms/gnome-yast2-smart.channel.txt
4. Download the latest package information by executing:
   smart update
5. Upgrade your current system:
   smart upgrade
6. Install any specific package you want to add, e.g.:
   smart install banshee
7. You can also use the Smart graphical interface to add channels, update, upgrade and install.
